The reporting schedule for a committee depends on the type of committee and whether it is actively involved in an election year.

Initial campaign finance paperwork to organize a committee is required to be filed within 10 days of a person becoming a "candidate" for campaign finance purposes.

North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Occupational Codes: Can be used as a reference to designate the "specific field" of employment for contributors (Box 3.c. on Form CRO-1210).

Any treasurer that signs campaign finance reports is required by law to receive treasurer training from the State within three months of appointment and once every four years. This training can be taken in-person or online.

Campaign finance laws now require certain committees to file campaign finance reports electronically. This includes candidates for local offices if the cumulative total for the election cycle exceeds $10,000 in contributions, in expenditures, or in loans. The free software provided by the State can be used to file electronically and perform many of the calculations for you.
